I love Minako Narita’s books…
I am looking forward to read Cipher. But unfortunately the main manga licensing company in my country rejected to license the book -___-

Well, I’ve read all of Alexandrite’s series .. and I love it!! If you all love cipher, trust me you would love Alexandrite more..

I’ve only read the first two volume of Cipher since it’s not been licensed in my country.. and I’d really like to read more… Could anyone help me,, where could I get(or buy or order) the complete series of Cipher? I’m dying to read the rest of the series.. Thanks.. ^_______^

yay i guess im the 6th person in North America!

Ya i love older shoujo manga.. so picking up this manga was a must. I admit I had volume 1 for a while before reading it — but I blame my university degree for not getting to it sooner.

I just ordered the rest of the series… good thing it was not quite out of print yet (although it seems to be getting that way)

Im glad there are other people who enjoy the series

Well, that does make me feel a bit better about probably never getting it in English.

I seriously need to develop some sticking power when it comes to studying Japanese. I think I have ADD in that regard or something.

You’re correct – Alexandrite is a sequel (although it’s more of a spin-off featuring a side character) and it’s still only Japanese-only. I’m sure we’ll never, ever see it on our shores. Dry your eyes, though – the character Levine, whom Alexandrite is based on, is probably the weakest character in Cipher. He was just incomprehensively popular in Japan in the 80s.

I own all eleven volumes, but haven’t started it yet. I believe there’s also a sequel called “Alexandrite,” but it hasn’t been licensed.
