(youtube.com) because it was once aired here in the Philippines way back 2005 & unfortunately, i wasn't watched it.. :: actually, i've finished episode 17 and continuing it.. :: i like the sequence of the story.. :: they both good actors who portrait the role as well as the other casts.. :: i'm sure the manga is also good indeed. :: anyhow, it's quite awesome & one of my favorite tw.drama story.. =) :: i’m still watching the taiwanese drama in CTS.. Not having read it, I also definitely recommend the Taiwanese drama. The issues they deal with are harsh-not what's normal for an Asian drama. Watch it-I want to know your opinion! I imagine the story would be a lot better if it was cut down a bit from the manga (which, again, didn't get really silly until Volume 6-7 or so). I'm sticking with 3 stars, mostly because it was a better-than-average shoujo that still fell into depths of ridiculous melodrama too often. Rei was a too-perfect compilation of wild/sexy/tortured personality traits that didn't make sense in a single person, and when a gay, murderous bishounen showed up to kill everyone he didn't like and up the "edgy" factor...it was basically like watching a silly soap opera, when the manga had started out as more than that. I WAS very much impressed with the way sexual abuse was handled in the second half of the series, though. Edgy, but realistic and well-intentioned, and it shattered the "bad boy taking what he wants is sexy" stereotype of shoujo quite well.
